You've probably seen the Ebel ads with Gisele Bundchen lounging around looking pensive. Like
Raymond Weil,
Ebel is another company also seeking to capture the male market. Their offering to masculinity is the 1911 BTR collection, a return to their popular 1911 model.
According to an article in Europastar, the feminizing of Ebel reached its peak when Ebe lwas bought by LVMH, which seeked to have it be the feminine complement ot Tag Heuer. Now as part of the Movado group, Ebel is seeking to recapture the manly. BTR stands for "back to roots" and the chrono shown here features the first 100-percent Ebel automatic chronograph. The watch has a larger size (a 44.5mm case) bevelled hands, faceted time markers, and the cool detail of having the pushbuttons and crown enhanced with rubber. The 1911 BTR Chronograph shown here sells for under $5,000 but the complete range has also has pricer models in pink gold.

A nice watch! But I'd rather prefer one of the Chopard models.
