The latest city to get a
car club, is a city that we have seen a lot o
f luxury pop up in lately, Atlanta, Georgia. The
Atlanta Driving Club, is Atlanta's first luxury and performance car-share company. The company will offer the usual variety of tempting wish-list cars from Lamborghini, Porsche and Bentley as well as the Dodge Viper shown here. The Atlanta Driving Club offers three yearly membership packages ranging from a $6,000 trial membership averaging 10-25 driving days to the $16,000 platinum-level membership which offers around 90 driving days. Memberships include unlimited mileage, available on-site detailing and storage of personal vehicles, 24-hour roadside assistance for club vehicles and activities such as racetrack days, social networking events, poker parties, drive-trip planning and new car premieres.

The whole driving club concept doesn't really make sense to me. I can see if you want to try driving different cars for a few days you might want to join, but most of these clubs don't even have the newest models available. And what are you going to tell the girl when you pick her up? It's not really mine? (unless its a one night stand kinda thing, in which case, worth every dollar). Other than the aforementioned situations, just work hard, save up, and get your own ride. I guarantee its more satisfying if you earned it. Or if mommy and daddy bought it for you.

I love this idea/concept. Contrary to the 1st comment, I would love to tell all my friends that I love driving this Viper, and guess what?...I will pick you up on a Lamboghini next weekend because I am in the coolest club in town! "Let's see, which car do I want to drive this weekend?"
I have had personal vehicles sit in the garage and drive them maybe 20 days a year worrying about mileage, maintenance, etc....I wish they had this club in my city.
