Witanhurst, Estate of the Day

What could be more worthy of an estate of the day than a home which is the second largest house in London in private ownership (the first being Buckingham Palace). The historical Georgian-style mansion is located on a five-acre estate in the village of Highgate, North London. The home looks like it has been here forever but it was actually built between 1913 and 1920 and was designed by architect George Hubbard for soap magnate Sir Arthur Crosfield. Small correction: the house itself is 40,000 square feet, not the ballroom :-) can you even imagine a 40,000 sf ballroom? Well, maybe you can.

114 times bigger than your apartment? you mean your whole apartment is less than 20' X 20'? wow, that stinks.
that outside of the house looks a lot like a university building, or actually, i guess the house came first, so the university buildings look like that house.
