John Lennon's House For Sale

The musically-related real estate keeps coming. The latest is John Lennon's former home in Britain. The six-bedroom home outside Weybridge, Surrey, is where he lived as the Beatles rose to fame. Lennon, his wife Cynthia and son Julian lived at the house from 1964 to 1968. According to the article in Bloomberg, in1968, while Cynthia was in Greece, Lennon brought Yoko Ono to the house known as Kenwood. Cynthia Lennon returned home to find Yoko in her house and wearing her bathrobe. Oh if these walls could talk. The home, which also has a playroom, sauna and swimming pool is up for sale for 5.95 million pounds ($11.1 million).

Loved the Beatles and their music---always will. John was brilliant, but also a man with many flaws that his many fans overlooked. Yoko Ono, was and still is true whacko that got her 15 minutes of fame stretched into a lifetime by hooking up with John & helping destroy the greatest band ever. Musically, the Beatles music catalog will live on forever and for better or worst so will some of John's eccentricities. Remember him best for his Give Peace A Chance movement and his musical collaborations with Paul. Lennon/McCartney did create some masterpieces together over a short period. period.

Well, let's just really treat John Lennon as a great artist "singer-songwriter" and just like everybody else he is just a man and not perfect. Forget the house and just listen to his music cause that's what he is good at. The wall's house will never speak but I like #18 comment on that wall. Let's just still cheer for Paul & Ringo.

Are you guys kidding me Yoko Ono was trash She was the major break up between the Beetles. She lead John around by the nose. John has been linked to homosexual activity too. My sweet Lord! Any of you remember when she tried to sing Yuck What an embarrassment to American Idol. The Beetles changed mankind forever Long live the Beetles John Paul George and what was the other guys name Oh yeah Pete Wait Stu No RINGO!

#14 is incorrect.
May Pang was hired to be John & Yoko's personal assistant. She was instructed by Yoko herself, to be John's companion. Over time...John and May fell in love.
Please read "Loving John" by May Pang to see the other side of the story.
May was the best thing to have happened to John, and I would not be surprised, had he lived, if he and May were sharing a nice happy life together today.
It seems to me that he was his happiest during that time with May. With May's encouragement, he was getting close with his son Julian again, he was recording the best music of his solo career, he was even considering musical endeavors with Paul McCartney. All things that would not have occured had he been with Yoko, the control freak. Just my opinion.
I will always remember John for his great music, not his personal life. That really was not any of my business anyway.

I am 48 years old and i still listen to The Beatles,in fact i have several of their CDs. They may not have been virtuosos, but they were a great band. I don't give a damn about their personal lives, just their music, and in my opinion, they were one of the best bands that there ever was.

I never knew that about John and Yoko either and it was a pretty crappy thing to. John may have failed at being a husband and father. He was an amazing artist and he should have stayed with his wife baecause everyone knows Yoko broke up the Beatles'. I am a big fan of the Beatles' and John, but Ringo is my favorite.

Just looking at the spelling contained within some of these posts will give one great insight as to their intelligence (mostly lack thereof). For example...#20 (eqauls), #15 (Dakata, not to mention the overall idiocy of this genius' remarks--I think he's the twin brother of #14), #7 (alimoy), #5 (genious) and #2 for overall syntax. o/~...Imagine there's no bloggers; it's easy if you try; no knaves below us....o/~

Well, I think yoko always tried to horn in on John's spotlight......she is so farout there and thinks her shit don't stank!!!!! she really needs to take a close look in the mirror and see how ridiculous she really is...... back when John was alive man i really honestly do not know how he stood her my gawd she just gets on my nerves just seeing her or her pic...she is nasty lookin i hate it that her name even went along with John Lennons name back in the olden days.....but more than that i do not honestly know why John let her call his shots like he did......what he settled for was a ridiculous over active bad azz singing ulgy ass mental old lady......

If John Lennon loved himself, and if Yoko Ono loved him, neither would have deprived his son. It would be impossible. To this day, if Yoko hasn't yet given his son a fair cut, she never loved John Lennon, no question about it.

Well, you can always tell when a blog has run it's course when the coke heads (see 48 & 49) get in on it. To all those who have made legitimate comments, have a great day.

This sounds more like a John Lennon bashing forum. Who cares if he had an affair or cheated on Cynthia. Maybe there was a good reason. If any of you who have enterd comments deceided to have an affair or cheat on your spouse , would you make these same comments about yourself ? I doubt it. Eric Clapton had an affair with George Harrison's wife Patty. Don't hear anyone bashing Clapton and saying poor George. A lot of you need to find a better source for your information. I personally did not like Yoko. Did she help break up the Beatles , its possible. Most of you should get over it and let the guy rest in peace , he isn't here to defend or speak for himself. Enjoy the music they made and accept them for the great musicians they were and what they brought to the music world.

Does it really matter that John was a cheater? He was a great musician. Are all you people perfect that you never did anything wrong to someone else. I don't condone cheating and certainly don't condone leaving your child but that is irrelivant. The point is that he was a great musician who brought a lot of joy to a lot of people with his music. In a time that our country is in such a mess who really cares about John's infidelity.

80 million viewers watching The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, thier first appearance in The United States is really what made them so greatly known and the reason why they sold so many records, became so famous overnight. This went to John Lennon's head and helped to turn him into the megalomania person he became. The other thing unfortunely is that only 6% or less attend Church in England today, and was probably a similar percentage when John was growing up, creating the more agnostic, liberal society of little moral values which is apparent there today in many ways, and also helped to make John what he became in life eventually. If we are not careful here in the U.S A., the same thing will happen to our Country and is moving in that direction as well. I wrote, sang, and eventually recorded a song entitled "Do You See Me In Your Dreams" cut # 9(www.FredLeonard.com)which I was influenced by John Lennons music at the time I miss this part of him, God hopefully rest his soul. Thank You, Fred Leonard

John appeared to be a lot of things and among them, a complicated person. He was a very creative singer and songwriter and appeared to wear the hat of leader in the Beatles. To follow his life and learn a little about him paints a picture of someone who wore his feelings very outwardly. He appeared to be excitable and driven, and in the next breath, the opposite. He had the world in his hands. I don't get the Yoko thing at all, but we all do things that are hard to understand. I loved him for his contributions to music and found him a fascinating, intelligent and interesting person to hear a point of view from. It doesn't mean I always agreed with him, but who do you agree with all of the time in life. Tragic what that insect did to him... I still think about it from time to time.
Stephanie Oct 15th 2006 10:26AM
Hey life suck's, then you die!!!I think every rocker thus far has cheated on their wives some time or other,I think it's in their rule book's!!! I dont see anyone griping about Elvis when he cheated on Priscilla all those year's.I say lets just leave their personal lives out of it and remember the great thing's they did for us.
Julian Oct 15th 2006 10:28AM
Oh Please, I get sick and tired of people blaming the way people are because they were abused as a child. People are who they want to be and they choose the life style that they end up with.
J Lees Oct 15th 2006 10:55AM
Listen, John was no different than anybody else. He struggled with his demons just like everyone else. But when all is said and done, he left us with some brilliant music that wil live on forever. Can you say that you haven't mistakes? You live and learn, making mistakes along the way. In the end, what John left us in the way of his music is truly a gift and we are all better for his contribution to the Music world. If he only was alive today this world would be a better place.
