DL Memento Mori Skull Plates
You can't accuse Douglas Little of jumping on the skull trend. The designer with the love of the macabre has been hip to working with skulls since before they became ubiquitous. He's now taken his designs to the next level with these skull plates. The four black porcelain plates have silver details dominated by a big skull. A set of four 7" diameter plates costs $160 for your very intimate and very gothic Halloween fete.

These are too cute, even for those of us who have (mostly) grown out of the Goth phase.

I'm totally down with the skull thing. I dated a guy with a Mohawk in the 80s too. But these are UGLY! And I don't mean that in a good way.

Really? skulls o a plate? It might be fun for a halloween party but that's about it,but definately NOT at 160 dollars. I like the silver design around it though.
John Oct 9th 2006 3:23PM
These plates are corny! Maybe...MAYBE...for Halloween. But if I ever seen these out at someone's house in let's say...February, i'm running outa there. Morbid, gothic garbage!

Well, I really like them. And I am a mother, and my kids would get a kick out of them. But for $160? NOT in the budget.

foru can buy 100 paper plates with a similar design for about $2.50. and that's pushing it already

I think they are awesome. I am 21 though. And knowing my crazy mom, she would buy these. I don't think it was a poor descision to design these plates, there are a lot of people out there like my family that would jump at the chance to buy plates like these. Even to just use them on Halloween.

If you don't like them then don't buy them. I like them but I can feed a family of 5 with $160...
Barbara Price Galvan Oct 9th 2006 4:15PM
I think that is great the the "gothic idea" is catching on to everyone. It is a beautiful plate.

How could anyone be so insensitive to eat off a representation of a human skull? Would the people who like this plate also like a plate with the skull of a cat or a dog on it? Do the people who like this plate not think that a "death's head" has anything to do with a dead human person? It's weird and gross to want your food on this.

halloween is the biggest money market next to Christmas, but come on people, even if you can afford these, can't you find a better cause to spend your money on.
Holly Oct 9th 2006 4:28PM
Just goes to show just because you have money dosen't mean you have good taste.
Kelly Oct 9th 2006 4:36PM
the plates are so awesome. Im not gothic or one of those crazy people who is in to spending ridiculous amounts of money on useless things, but i would buy these plates my family tends to splurge on decorating for christmas and buying those little gravy bowls with the leaves on them for Thanksgiving so why not plates with a skull for halloween? LOVE THEM a bit pricey but if you can afford it why not?
James Oct 9th 2006 4:37PM
Awesome... are they dishwasher safe?!
Chris Oct 9th 2006 6:04PM
Nice plates. Bad price.
