Louis XV Pet Pavilion
This Louis XV Pet Pavilion is only for animals who really deserve to live like kings. It is styled after an 18th century French commode (which we prefer to think of as just a little building, since it sounds a bit classier) and is hand-carved from mahogany and rosewood. It is liken with antique-style Newton Ferrers fabrics and the colors and patterns can be chosen to suit your own tastes. Customizations are available, if you need a larger or smaller bed than the 35" H x 27" W x 27" D standard, or simply prefer a custom finish. Price: $24,266.

If I had the money, I'd get one for my dog. But then again, my husband and I have chosen to not have children, and we feel our papillon IS our child. There's nothing within reason we won't buy him. We're currently building our first home, and it includes secret tunnels for our Little Joe to get from one room to the next, and little hideaways just for him. if you can, spoil them! Unlike kids, they're always grateful and they never backtalk. :)

I think this is just crazy, even if I could afford this, I wouldn't buy it, I may spend a few thousand on a really decked out dog house to go in my back yard but this is crazy. The first woman said that she and her husband don't have children and so they spoil their pet which is fine, but I have 2 children and could find much better uses for all that cash. I guess the saying is true, to each his (or her) own.

That's lame, to use a phrase.
I thought maybe it would be a really nice outdoor home, like those decked out multi-room catteries.
This is for people who aren't smart enough to know what to do with their money. You could buy a beautiful, better quality piece than this for much less.

WOW......great craftsmanship !!! But, I don't think
I'd spend that much $$ even if I had B. Gates income.
Angel IS my child and has her own wardrobe (brand new
@ Goodwill/ $15), tons of clothes, bows and jewelry.
And I just scored a bed for $37.50 that normally sells
for $129-$200.....even tho she'll probably never sleep
in it..... BUT, $24,266 would buy the piece of land I
want AND pay for the closing costs, etcetcetc. This
bed is NOT geared for John Q. Public...but it and the
others on this website are EXQUISITE !!!!!

I love my four dogs, and even though I have three teenagers, my dogs are my extended family. They wouldn't care if they had to sleep on concrete, as long as they know I'm there. But, I don't make them sleep on concrete. Since my husband works nights, they sleep right in the bed with me!

Of course I would buy that for my dog. But, I have rottweilers, and eight of them could not fit in that regal box. So, I built them a MuttHutt Hotel onto my house. It is their room. They play and sleep in it. It is huge' 34'X 13'. They have a grecian tile shower, their own washer and dryer. They have fresh running water and each of them have a HUGE castle to sleep in at night. All of my babies have great taste, therefore, their beds are constructed out of soemthing other than what they love to sink their teeth into! If you have a rottie pup and buy this regal digs for them, PLEASE rub bitters on it and pray they don't use it for teething purposes! LOL , or you will be very disappointed. Absolutely friggin rediculous. Rich people have no brains when it comes to spending money. They would not be able to survive if they went broke! I work hard for my money and this is an insult to my intelligence. I love my dogs but not way would I even consider this.

I once had a dog named HairyWaggs. He was a cocker-poo, or what's now called a DoodleDog. On his first night with me, he slept in a waxed cardboard box, with pillow. After that I bought him many "sleeping things", but for him, they could never replace his waxcovered cardboard box. I ended up custom fitting a wooden box around his secure "mansion".

Wow! I wish my two Jack Russells didn't backtalk (er backbark) me LOL They much prefer to be in bed with us than in the most expensive dog bed ever made.

LOL - you know the people who came up with this trash laugh themselves all the way to the bank every time they can get some moron to buy one. I think they make a game out of seeing just how desperate people are to try to shore up their self esteem by buying some extremely extravagant overpriced garbage. This isnt' the worst I've seen, but it's right up there with some of the other moron-bait.

I wonder how many of those Paris Hilton will buy. They're made just for her type.

If you have that much money to spend on something so ridiculous, why not help a needy family in your area? $25,000 is a years salary for alot of folks, and I just can't see spending that much on a doghouse for a dog that probably already lives in a beautiful home with its owners! If everyone that had $25,000 to spend on something so frivalous would help a needy family instead, we wouldn't have poverty in the USA. Its in our back yard, and the sad thing is that we can fix it, but people would rather show off on something cutsey than help their fellow man. Think about it. God Bless.

I love my dog but he can keep on sleeping in my bed. I'm sure he would rather sleep at my feet than in some luxury dog bed. If I had half that much money just for spending on my dog I think I would use it on food and a huge playarea and toys and grooming rather than just a single stylish (which the dog wouldn't even know is stylish) bed
Sherra Oct 7th 2006 4:12PM
Amen Sandra. I can remember a time when I didn't have a bed to sleep in myself. I'd hate to have my dog sleep in a bed that expensive when there are so many unfortunate children out there who don't have anything at all.
Tony Oct 7th 2006 4:16PM
I can think of far less expensive ways to put a dog to sleep.
