-- Murray Kushner, the estranged older brother of Charles Kushner and uncle to Jared Kushner, the young owner of the New York Observer has jutt bought a co-op apartment on a high floor at 930 Fifth Ave. for $4.3 million.

--A pair of side-by-side condominiums on the 71st floor of Manhattan's Time Warner Center have gone on the market for a combined $34 million.The apartments are part of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Tower and come with hotel services including room and maid service and access to the hotel's spa and pool.
--Former New York Daily News chief executive Fred Drasner has sold his upstate New York farm for $6.25 million.
--Insurer Conseco has sold a former executive's Florida mansion for $11.6 million.

--Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard become the latests celebs in Brooklyn, picking up a vintage 3,600-square-foot brownstone in north Park Slope.
--The late Susan Sontag's Chelsea penthouse is in contract to sell to interior designer William Diamond.

--Riverhouse, One Rockefeller Park, shown above is a 31-story condominium under construction at the northern end of Battery Park City that is scheduled to open next summer. The developer plans to ask the City Council to designate an adjacent street, known as Little Vesey Street, as Rockefeller Park Place.
--Thomas Iovino, president of Judlau Contracting a company which won a huge contract to create a tunnel to connect the Long Island Rail Road to Grand Central Terminal has bought an 11-room apartment on Fifth Avenue for $9.6 million. They bought the apartment from Do Woo Kim, an executive vice president at Merrill Lynch who paid $12.5 million for a condo in the Carhart Mansion.
--We first heard rumblings of this back in June, Ralph C. Stayer, the chairman and chief executive of Johnsonville Sausage has sold his eight-room condominium on the 44th floor of the Trump International Hotel and Tower for $13.25 million.

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and his wife, former "Baywatch" star Donna D'Errico have put their home on the market for $2.995 million. It's our estate of the day later on.
--Seven-time Olympic medalist Amanda Beard has moved from Tucson to Venice so she can train for the Beijing Olympics in summer 2008 and she has purchased a Venice home for close to its asking price of $1,045,000. Her Tucson home is listed at $899,000.
--A Pacific Palisades home once owned by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver is listed at $26.9 million. The listing is two lots totaling 2.5 acres including 10,000-square-foot house, lawns, a tennis court, a pool, orchard, pond and corrals. The listing is here.
