Last month, we saw Shu Uemura's Feathered Fantasy Eyelashes, fake eyelashes that were decorated with real feathers for a very unusual look, but Uemura also came out with something even more impressive. The designer created a set of diamond-studded false lashes for Madonna and will now be selling pairs of the .75-carat lashes at seven Neiman Marcus stores for $10,000 per pair. If you've got the extra cash on hand, you can probably get your very own diamond-studded lashes, but for everyone else, Uemura also has another set that give you the look of silvery diamonds at a fraction of the price, since they don't use the real stones.

Wow. Yet another asinine way to waste money. So, at $10,000 a pop, how many starving children in Africa could be fed for those lashes? Thought you were going all "humanitarian"?

Who are we to judge, we don't know what charities the celebs give to. How many millions are spent daily on things that can kill you(cigarettes, alcohol)? If you happen to smoke or drink then why don't you give a portion of that money to the starving in Africa.....besides how much money actually goes to those bloated little babies there? I'm sure if you were serious about it you would find out and start giving.
Leave the celebs alone, they earned it.

I dont believe that celebrities earned it. Yes some have and I think that it is fantastic for them. However, there are some shows that people gain fame for...just by pure popularity. I agree with Cyn. $10,000 for something a ridiculous as a pair of eyelashes...this is what the "greater part" of society has come to believe to be more important. (How can you not be disgusted?)

Please Ladies--Madonna is going down the hill-her Holiday & Celebrate parties are almost over--remember she now does not speak english she speaks Proper British"; she uses Religion to prop her tacky shows, and what a surprise diamond eyelashes--she is not reinventing herself she is just competing with the Young and the Beautiful. Me Jeaulous? nope.
However I will start painting my eyelashes two tones. One eye White the other Black and tell everyone that it is my signature in memory of Coco Chanel--and I will do it for Free.LOL

Is this really a news item--if we all had that extra money I am sure we would be doing some foolish spending. If you can do so--more power to you!!!
P.S. and if your inner self drives you in that direction--try to think about some deserving charities/causes.

I understand everyone can do what they want with there money.. But I feel that with great wealth come great responsibility and it is just irresponsible to spend 10,000 on eyelashes. I agree with Alice spend $4000 on a hypoallergenic-cat.

Yes it is their money and they're are free to do what they want with it. Yet, one has to wonder how vain someone is in order to purchase that set for $10,000 when the fake one cost $25 and no one can tell the difference. Also keep in mind that feather lashes can't be reused that often. Sounds like a waste...

it's kind of funny. They have the money to waste on foolishness, and we have the time to waste reading about, and commenting on their foolishness. So much wasted money, time, and energy on so much foolishness. Peace, all.

No, it is not their money and no they can't do what they want with it. Everything we have belongs to God and we are to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us. I think I can say with certainty that $10,000.00 for eyelashes doesn't qualify you as a good steward of the resources God has given you.

Hey Lori,
Do you really need to advertize your damn lipstick on every friggin blog. It's fucking annoying.
There are zillions of lipsticks out there that don't come off all day for just over a buck. Stick to the topic.
Now go away you annoying little Mary Kay lady.
As for the 10,000 eyelashes. I don't really see the point in diamond eyelashes anyway. Maybe it's supposed to match that diamond bra Victoria's Secret came out with. Stupid.

Honestly I think they're cute... but why the hell would anyone need diamond studded eyelashes. ah wait! another rich *sshole who hasn't realized (or doesn't care) that there are straving ppl in this world. But if a $10,000 dollar pair a eyelashes will make you feel better about yourself more than helping people would, then right on do ya thinngg. I'm not hating I just think it's kinda sad. Another selfish act of the rich and famous...
