Velvet Beetle Pillow

Throw pillows are a nice way to accent a room without replacing the floor or furniture. You can easily introduce new textures and colors to a room, brightening it or making it more elegant, if you choose. A pillow like this Velvet Beetle Pillow, designed by Helene Ige, can be a nice touch. The pillow itself has a down and feather fill and comes in vibrant jewel-tones. It is accented with a beetle made of gold metallic foil. The beetle design is not so large that it draws too much attention from the rest of the room, but it does add a bit of interest to what might otherwise be boring pillows. Price: $139 or $159, depending on size (12x16" or 18x18").

so darned cute, and perfect for an egyptian princess in need of some fancy scarab action. nice to see metallic foil used for something other than a disney couture tee shirt.
