The World's Most Expensive Lipstick and Mascara
We've seen some crazy diamond-studded ideas before but this may be the most ridiculous or the most fabulous depending on your viewpoint. H. Couture Beauty sells makeup that comes in bejeweled cases and have sold the world's most expensive mascara and lipstick for $14 million. A customer requested a blue, white and pink diamond version -- made in solid 18-karat gold -- of the company's Swarovski crystal and gold-plated lipstick and mascara set. The mascara casing will have 2,500 blue diamonds and the lipstick casing will have 1,200 pink diamonds. Their mascara generally retails for $589 and the lip color retails for $150. The high-priced makeup include concierge service, 24/7 customer service and complimentary lip and lash refills for a year. There is also a lip plumper for $348 which comes with one free refill and lip liner for $120, which also comes with one full product refill.

SO what,it's there money to spend anyway they want.Do you want someone to tell you how to spend your money? To some people $6.00 for coffee would be alarming.I say live & let live.

if i had that money 2 blow, i would buy it. yet, i would still donate to a needy cause... who says u can't do something nice 4 yourself and someone else?

I believe if a person can afford this....go for it. Everyone says, boo....hiss...feed the poor, spend your money wisely. I feel if you worked for it, spend it the way you want! Why are the poor, poor? They can get it the same way this person did.....work for it!

Well, it is her money, her business, but stupid. I sure hope when she puts it on she thinks about the poor children and helps them out too. I'd love just a little of that money for bills.

Gee, there are people starving all over the world, people living in inhumane conditions all over the world, people who don't get to go to school because there are none, people with diseases that need cures, people with diseases who need money to help treat them... nah, I think I'll buy diamond studded lipstick and mascara instead. Messed up.

You know, I don't look at people that buy (or sell) things like this with envy. It's actually quite pitiful. And the, "If-I-could-afford-it-I'd buy-it-there's-nothing-wrong-with-it-diamonds-are-a girl's/boy's-best-friend" arguments simply prove my point. Are their lives (and heads) so empty that this is all they want to do with their millions? People who buy these ridiculously indulgent and relatively useless items have a REAL chance to make a difference in the world. Lucky for us REGULAR people that souls can't be bought. Souls have to be created. And I hear it you don't need even cheap masacara to do that.

This is nuts. Can someone who can afford this also pay my college tuition? Or better yet, the college tuition of the countless people who can't afford any college at all?

That is awful! People living on the streets, children going hungry and to think you have so much money that you go crazy! Why not help some of the American's who are in need of help. EE James

To #153, Joy Kay -
Yeah, you're right. Those starving, third-world children who live in a cardboard box and defecate in the same river they drink from because there is no other source of fresh water should damn-STRAIGHT get a job and earn millions like diamond-mascara person did. Those kids were probably faking the dysentery, malaria and smallpox anyway.

I would have to agree with just about everyone above, why would someone spend that much money one something so trivial and worthless. There are better things to be done that amount of money, that would help out the "lower class" and "middle class" economics. Rather than just to make one feel "special!"

okay to have lipstick that cost 14 million dollars better come with the makeup artist 24/7 to apply and freshen up my makeup. I could feel the $538 mascara and the $150 lipstick as treats to myself but youve got to be OWNING OIL to wear 14 million dollar lipstick seriously!!!!!!!

This is a waste of money...something to feed their pride and selfishness no doubt.I can think of better ways to spend my money, like helping the poor and needy....they can't take it with them...hope they spend as much time on their soul searching...

I just had to add another thing! I am disabiled too.I live on $600.00 per month, and take care of my grandson whom is 4 years old. We just barely get by. My car is on it's last leg, and when I think of all the millions that was spent on diamonds and lipstick and mascara. Gosh! Someone needs to have you checked out by a Doctor. There is plenty of families disabiled or working that just barely have enought to eat each month.Lookwhat you could have done to help many people with that money. All the sickness in the world. What will you buy next a diamond make-up compact with diamond mirror?EE James

They're kidding right? A late April Fool's joke perhaps? I'm just curious what type of insecurities a person would have to be harboring in order to spend $14M on a tube of lipstick and bottle of mascara. If this is not a clear sign of the downfall of society, than I'm not sure what is. On the bright side, I'm sure they're keeping a nice comfy bed and a crisp white jacket ready for her at the nearest mental fac... er... spa.
