Via the gossip watchers at ONTD comes this celebrity-owned beauty. This moody masterpiece belongs to Kirk Hammett, the guitarist for Metallica. The home, located in Pacific Heights is a Georgian home dating back to around 1899. This exquisite example of classic San Franciscan excess is located on a hill and offers privacy and a touch of mystery. The home's facade matches well with the interior's velvet and burgundy style. The home has large rooms with details of carved wood ceilings, wainscoting and French doors. Newer touches can be seen in the gleaming appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen. The master suite has views out to the Bay. Special rooms include a billiard room, bar and cigar/wine room and a music studio. I wouldn't choose this house, but to each his own. House looks weird inside. Don't like the colors or the decorating. It might look better if I saw it in person. They usually do. I've seen a lot better.

Metallica has sucked balls since the and justice album....they said it best when they said "metallica sell out? we sell out every night" he meant the shows but he should have meant the music they play. come on guys whiskey in a jar? the metallica who put out master of puppets would kick this metallica's asses. I loved watching them get boo'd at the video awards

I met Kirk in 1981 or 1982, Lars introduced him to me, they were two very hard working people back then and they still work very hard. ( Dave Mustaine should be included for the sake of authenticity of this statement ). I for one am very glad for these very hard workers, and as always, the very best to them.

LOVE Metallica! The house? Eh. It looks like your great-aunt's house that smells kinda funny. I expected Kirk's home to be more...zen, as I've read that he's a vegetarian and very into yoga. Guess that's stereotyping, eh?

Kinda cool looking house.I'll bet the air condtioning suks simply because the house was built before that sort of thing was invented.Oh. i am not too hip on the gay purple color in the gay room...Kurt. San Fran huh? well lemme guess,purple is your color right?
