The Gables at Fairweather Bay, Estate of the Day

Even though today's estate is located in Medina, Washington it has a crisp and clean look that puts me in mind of a New England fall. You could shoot an LL Bean catalog in a place like this. The classic home was created by Tom Bosworth, the former Dean of Architecture at the University of Washington. The home has white wood walls and ceilings which serve to highlight the beautiful aged wood floors which are fir planks from an old warehouse. The home sits on lake Washington and has an atrium, two-story library, screening room, a kayak house and a separate recreational facility that includes a bowling alley. It is listed at $17 million.
