World's Most Expensive MP3 Player

The TrekStor i.Beat Organix Limited Edition Gold MP3 Player is the most expensive in the world, with a list price of $19,999. The design was a custom order from Russian-Canadian billionaire (and owner of the Midland Formula 1 team) Alex Shnaider. It is cast in 18-karat gold and has 63 diamonds, for a total of 1 carat, decorating its surface. The music player has 1 GB memory, can play back MP3, WMA, WAV, ASF and OGG file formats, has two headphone jacks and has a built-in radio, alarm clock, stopwatch and voice recorder. The non-limited edition version sells for $126.94 (list price: $215).

What the deuce? If I were paying 20g's for an MP3 player, you bet your ass I'd insist on it having a LOT more than 1gb of memory. For that much cash you could buy some serious amounts of flash memory. This is just tacky....why sacrifice features and storage for a little bit of gold and ice?

My ipod has 60 gig and video,,,,so why would you buy this,,,it doesn't even look pretty, for 20 thousand,,I would have wanted an emerald or two ha ha ha.

I'd have to agree with Jess. I have an iPod nano (even tho mine is a 2GB), and it serves me well. For that amount of cashola, I could buy myself a few Mac Pros, MacBooks and possibly one of my $7,000 vices (but I'd rather not tell), and also max out the memory in the MacBooks and Mac pros.

Sorry, $20 grand for a one gigabyte MP3 player is just not enough for me. IMHO, it would have to have at least a *terabyte* of memory to justify that cost.

Whoever came up with the idea for a $20K Mp3 player should be lined up against the white house walls and shot simultaneously by the homeless! I mean it's an unethical - unpractical waste of $20k for a piece of shit Mp3 player that is probably some IPOD glorified with cheap diamonds (Zinc Zirconia) and spray painted with a can of Krylon!
