Beyonce's Birthday Present

For her 25th birthday, Beyonce Knowles got a very pricey gift from boyfriend Jay-Z. He picked out a 1959 Rolls Royce convertible with an estimated value of $1 million dollars, though the full amount he paid for the car will probably be known only to him and the dealer.

Even with a steep price tag, the gift doesn't quite measure up to the $5.4 million necklace Mariah Carey got from her prince, but it's safe to say that Beyonce could have done a lot worse than this car.

I think anyone that gives a lavish present like that is trying to impress the other person. I think a engagement ring would have meant more in the long run. But you are dealing with people who think getting someone something is more important than showing love for that person. There is more to life than what items someone owns. Though I think alot of people are greedy and forget that.

Hello!! J-Z is a player! He can and will buy Beyonce' whatever she wants, but what she really wants, she will never have. HIM!! Marriage is not in the players manual, trust me I wrote it..I mean I read it!;)

A nice, but worthless gift. It would've been a lot nicer of him to DONATE that million dollars to a charity who does good work. I bet the starving and the AIDS/HIV children around the world would have enjoyed it a lot more than she'll enjoy that car. It's probably going to spend the rest of its life in a garage after being driven once or twice.

Putting wealth, age, fame and talent aside, did anyone stop to think of a romantic idea? For instance, JZ might have heard Beyonce say that she saw this beautiful car and that she loved it without indicating that she would buy it. JZ probably decided to surprise her with it as a birthday gift. THESE THINGS HAPPEN, I KNOW BECAUSE I ONCE DID IT!

I have to say that I am 28 years old and to see Beyonce' who is now 25 years old makes me very proud of her. She has worked very hard and she puts her real passion into her performance. I'm sure that whatever material thing that Jay-Z gives her really doesn't matter to her--it's the time and effort that he put in trying to obtain the gift that matters. That shows love and she knows it...........

I think Beyonce is gorgeous.. She is a real entertainer too and I am sure she don't need the car or anything else.. she must just be thought highly of by Jay zee.. anyway all I can say is GO Beyonce.. you got it going on and some people are just jealous.. Beyonce is like everyone else in the modelling/music/actor celebrity lifestyle.....it's all makeup, hair and smoke & mirrors. Tyra Banks has proven that even supermodels look a lot like the everyday average person when stripped of all that.Watch her tv show, the episode where she went to jail stripped of her hair weave & makeup. But Beyonce is only 25 yr. old, an age where even most non celebrity women are beautiful and her life so far has been work, work, work. I heard her comment on that once.....so being rich & famous has it's price. She needs more fun in life, if she died tomorrow has she done what she wants to in life? I think she deserves the car and a boyfriend and anything else that makes her happy. Their incomes put them in a different league and someone has to support that car dealership!!

I am not a hater, nor do I wish to have that type of lifestyle. With children eating out of garbage cans, adults barely knowing how to spell their name and single mothers going hungry just trying to feed their baby...I am sure this money could have been spent on more worthwhile charities. Why would a mutli-millionaire singer need a million dollar car as a gift? I think we all need to wake up and realize that there is more to life than fancy cars and nice restaurants. We are so un-grateful and un-fazed as Americans. People right in our own country would love to have a warm room with a roof and food on the table but yet we have overratted entertainers that don't deserve a tenth of what they have. It's really saddening! I am sure people will read this and respond critically. I am just putting the truth out there. If these people, (Jay-Z and Beyonce) are our role-models (unfortunately) then they need to step up to the plate and do the right damn thing. They want to be in the spotlight...then by all means take it and so something positive and not just when the camera is rolling or for PR. When will we wake up and listen??? Thanks...Oh and by the way before you chalk this up as a WASP speaking...I am a young, African-American woman working hard and going to school to make it in this world.

For all those who says he should have donated his money to worthy causes...do the research. He has given MILLIONS to worthy causes and STILL does. If he want to buy his "wife" a nice present, don't hate...
