Beyonce's Birthday Present

For her 25th birthday, Beyonce Knowles got a very pricey gift from boyfriend Jay-Z. He picked out a 1959 Rolls Royce convertible with an estimated value of $1 million dollars, though the full amount he paid for the car will probably be known only to him and the dealer.

Even with a steep price tag, the gift doesn't quite measure up to the $5.4 million necklace Mariah Carey got from her prince, but it's safe to say that Beyonce could have done a lot worse than this car.

That's a good point Jay but the fact is that I did my research before ever posting and Beyonce has mentioned in interviews that she is interested in getting married and having children. That's why I mentioned the engagement ring thing. I wasn't just pulling comments out of my ass.

I have no idea what you mean by saying that I have no class! All I said was that Beyonce deserves an engagement ring. If you did your research you would already know that she is interested in getting married and having kids. I have always admired Beyonce and I was just saying what she probably had in mind.

Thanks for clarifying that you have seen/heard interviews of Beyonce saying that she does want to get married. It shows those on this message board who have no clue when they say "maybe they don't want to get married" or who think Beyonce isn't interested in marriage. Like I said DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE POSTING. Otherwise DONT POST!

I don't understand why society is so finacially skewed. You have these 'entertainers' who have more money than one ever should have or need, and you have people, like in an article I just read, who are diagnosed with breast cancer and can't afford proper care due to lack of health insurance (a 40% greater risk of death than insured patients). It just seems really off to me, and I don't know why we let it go on like this. Its time that the system changes. The public as a whole needs to step up and set this situation straight. You all work hard, just as hard as these individuals, but most of us live paycheck to paycheck. We go see their movies, buy their albums, and they make an INSANE amount of money off our hard earned LIMITED funds. There should be NO lower class when people are allowed to be paid these RIDICULOUS salaries. The only ones who should be making this kind of money are doctors, who dedicate their lives around the clock to help us, yet their salary dosen't even come close! Please, if you are a celebrity, don't think that one charitable contribution every couple of years is enough. You should be happy with a 100,000 car nevermind a million, a 500,000 house..etc...if EVERY celebrity donated HALF their YEARLY INCOME to CHARITY, they could live better than comfortably and make a huge difference. I HOPE YOU ALL EXCEPT THE CHALLENGE. make a change. peace.....

I think everyone is taking this way out of content!!! No one knows what Jay- Z & Beyonce have personaly discussed between the two of them!!!! She could have told him it was a dream of hers to own that car or it could be something special and private between the two of them.... We can not pass judgement, if you want their life, get out there and hustle, grind and work for it just as the two of them did.... NO ONE just gave it to them, they worked hard for it, now they have their money working hard for them!!!!! Stop Hating and start working for your passions & dreams... Go ahead Jay & B I am proud of you!!!!

Ya sure they work OH SO HARD...what a back breaking stressful job singing and dancing is. Something you REALLY have to work at. Lots of years in school, lousy pay...such hard work. Oh and Jayz and Beyonce are so talented and intelligent coming up with words such as "jigga" and "bootylicious" I could never write music like that oh so creative. Damn, wheres their nobel prize? Beyonce you really DESERVE this car, thanks for all the hard work girl! (Sarcasm completely intented, p.s when did she become such a skank? I think her maid deserves the car more).

Real rappers like Tupac and Biggie didn't need to buy such gifts to show off. Their music and the small things they did spoke for itself. As far as Beyonce, shes beautiful but made up to be that way and tries to hard for that attention. What happened to natural being beautiful. A fine example of that is Halle Berry and Megan Goode. Never made up and doesn't have to shake their ass to prove it. Let grace speak for itself. Jigga has the spot only because the best rappers are no longer around. Nice car but not worth the buzz.

Oh for crying out loud. Beyonce is such a wimp that she can wear fur, but not see how it is made. Cop out much? The news about how she was waa waaa at the dinner PETA won with her in June made me look at her differently. Irresponsible. She lost a fan.

I refuse to listen to her music or purchase any of it. She was shown what happens (torture, being skinned alive etc) and still includes fur in her clothing line. How ancient her views are.

HATERS.. (for all those hating all of you that say you don't care) If you were given that kind of gift I bet you don't turn it away.

Congrats to the both of them, Although just a little extreme, I hope she enjoys her birthday present.
I can honestly say, that I don't mind the "two dating" they seem to work well together!

It's incredible how people focus on Beyonce's beautiful looks...it's all make up. Have you ever seen her without a wig? SCARY. She's not all she's cracked up to be...well, actually she is...she's fooled most of you. Now that's sad.

Isn't it big of you to suggest Jay-Z not buy an expensive gift for his girl friend but donate the money to charity such as New Orleans. So how much money did you donate to New Orleans "catcha"? Are you donating to worthy causes instead of buying for your loved ones as you suggest?

I'm not a fan of his but it's his money and he can spend it lovingly on his girlfriend's 25th Birthday. I say enjoy your car Beyonce!

I just ran into this garbage by accident. Jay Z, looks like half monkey, half alien he is too ugly! beyonce's not bad I'd get with her but I've seen way better! and hell NO I can't think of anyone but a complete idiot who would want to be these people when they can be so much more, why are they even on luxist???
