As we mentioned earlier, Shadow Creek is the former home of Las Vegas mogul Steve Wynn. This home is located on the Shadow Creek golf course, positioned with a view of the 18th hole. The home has four bedrooms and everything is done on a grand scale including the kitchen which has marble countertops, a climate-controlled wine storeroom, a Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, and a large pantry overlooking the breakfast nook and butler's pantry. There is also a theater room, a library, a large patio with a fireplace and one lane lap pool with a underwater sound system. The private master bedroom has its own balcony, his and her baths with walk-in steam showers, Jacuzzi tubs and large custom closets. Outside there is an infinity pool.
It is listed at $28 million. After the jump, the life of a Vegas kingpin.

This house does not have a consistent design philosophy throughout - some elments look modern, others look classical, while may details are downright jarring (the red fireplace and rough stucco hall area don't fit at all, and round ceilings and octagonal/heptagonal room treatments should not exist together under one roof).Further, while wide open spaces prevail, some rooms are positively cramped, reminding more of a luxury condo than the country estate this residence seems to be trying to recreate.
The kitchen, while out of place, looks awesome, although I would remove the hanging china hutch to better carry the theme of large spaces. The windows are awesome, I wonder about any water features visible from within the dwelling?
Some impressive points, needed a little more design focus.

The dressing rooms look good, as does the (apparently bookless) round library...(not speaking as much of design here as size) The master bath is larger than many, many Manhattan apartments...I weakly second what LJ Hartley said above, the elements seem to this layman to be rather confused...

#1 What do you expect from a Las Vegas mogul? Good taste is the last thing - flash is what drives the casino business and that is what seems to have entered into the gentleman's home as well.
