Mariah Carey Gets $5.4 Million Necklace From A Prince

Mariah Carey has a big fan in Prince Azim, son of the Sultan of Brunei. The smitten prince sent Mariah an eight carat diamond and platinum necklace and ring by private jet before her concert in New York last week. The jewelry is worth $5.4 million. Mariah's love of sparkly things is well documented so she was no doubt delighted with the gift.

Well theres certianally no accounting for taste. Its hard to believe that this "prince" has not a care for world hunger or disease or famine...where he could be spending his money, instead he choses to encourage a ghetto fabulous media hoochie mama who hasnt had a hit song in quite a few years.

I would be frightened of any gift from any middle eastern country. Hopefully mariah will wear it for awhile, then auction it off and give the money to the victims of terrorism spawned by oil money gone awry.

Im have to say that I disagree, specially with Harrison.
You must be missinformed, since the King has everybody in Brunei with a monthly allowance...They dont starve in brunei...Actually people are quite happy and plentyfull. Economy is great. If you dont take my word for it, look it up ;)

Does he lick the sultan’s bowls? The money he throwing on your father will make him lick any thing mother fucker. His two wife the ex one and queen Saleha every night gambling in London casino, over 1 million pounds a day…. And that is each of them! This money belongs to the people of Brunei. Did you know that there is poverty in Brunei! This money as MR. RENEGABE says could help so many people in the world Muslims and non Muslims.

For the haters out there who say that Mariah is a hoochie mama and hasn't had any hits in a few years, do your research! What about "it's like that" and "we belong together?" And what about her platinum CD Emancipation of Mimi? I agree that she has become more "revealing" and sexual but come on, she is one of the most hardest working artist that I know. She produces, writes, and involves herself in almost everything that gets put in to her record. Unlike other artists out there nothing is just handed to her. Why do you think she had a breakdown years ago... from exhaustion of overworking. Do your research before posting lies!

I too agree that the money is totally wasted. It seems acting like a whore gets you everything. No thanks. I'll keep my dignity.
I have nothing. I've been very ill, lost my job, medical coverage you name it. But I still give what I can spare no matter how small the amount. There is a homeless man in my town who freezes in winter. I buy him hats and gloves. At least I still have a roof over my head. You know..my glass is still half full thing.
But to see this girl who is a cheap tart who gets paid for her sucky music is very sad.And to accept these things makes her a hooker. I worked my ass off in a decent job until I couldn't do it any longer. Where's the fairness in that? I'm a young girl.
Did I mention that I think our government sucks?

Also Mariah is a very beautiful very sexy women why can't she to dress that way? When the majority of the women you see everyday on the streets is dressing 10x times worse. I agree with Robert. Also, Mariah Carey is THE BEST vocalist ever...not one woman in music right now can hit the high notes and then go way down to the low notes like she can...she is comparable to Whitney Houston in a lot of peoples' eyes. And I am a young woman also, and I'm not a materialistic girl, but I wouldn't mind if a man gave me a nice gift like that to try to get my attention. Accepting it doesn't make her a whore or a hooker. She is a very classy woman, and I think she deserves props for putting up with people like "Just me". You're looking for the wrong kind of guy if you think someone shouldn't treat you right. Anyways, GO MARIAH DO YOUR THING GIRL!!!

Okay people, some of you must have very unhappy lives. So, Mariah has a prince sending her beautiful jewels, so the women is fine as those jewels that were sent to her. Mariah got it in every way and is definitely blessed. Be happy for the woman, she could have bought them herself, but she got a prince to do it and I say, "YOU DO THE DAMN THING GIRLFRIEND, CAUSE I AIN'T MAD!!!"
