Birkenstock by Heidi Klum
Birkenstock is not one of the shoe brands that is usually associated with supermodels, but Heidi Klum collaborated with the German company to come up with a surprisingly stylish line of sandals that are also, like all of the designs from the company, orthopedically correct. The collection features silver and gold leather sandals, strappy lace-ups and a number of shoes that bear a strong resemblance to Converse styles from several years ago. Her collection also includes more traditional designs, like the black and white Napa leather sandals ($275) with rivets and crystals pictured here.

Nice sandals but WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO MUCH MONEY!! I can get a similar pair in WALMART for under $10 and when they wear out, I can throw them away without guilt!

Those are damn ugly!!

Those shoes would make my feet look big as boats!!

I can't get to the link showing the other styles, but the one that's shown on this page is just another Birkenstock. I don't care how many brads and rhinestones they put on them: Birkenstock = ugly.

My Birkies have lasted 13 1/2 years, with a half resoling. They are the most comfotable shoes ever. well worth the money, at any price.

Birkenstocks are an unattractive yet comfortable sandal no matter who wears them or who decorates them.

Check out BirkenstockCentral.com for other styles. I have been wearing birkenstock sandals for over 20 years and her styles are disgusting! Who wants rhinestones, they look like cheap garbage. I'm suprised that a good name like Birkenstock would go so low. Plus the price on these are unbelievable. I'll pay $100.00 because of good quality that will last many years, but $152.00 just for her name.....NOT !

INSTEAD OF SPENDING444 ON UGLY SHOES, WHY NOT SEND A CARE PACKAGE TO A MARINE IN IRAQ AND PUT GOOD USE TO YOUR 44 PEOPLE ARE SO FRICKEN SELFISH, SPENDING HUNDREDS ON UGLY SHOES, WHILE OUR MARINES ARE SWEATING THIER ASSES OF FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM

For those of us with lousy feet from wearing too many high fashion shoes in our youth, Birkenstocks are great...We celebrate their homely comfort and don't need a luxe take on them.

THOSE 44 WERE SOPOSSED TO BE $$$$$$$$ IN THE LAST COMMENT!

I have worn Birkenstock Shoes at least 10 years. I was told by my Orthopeadic Dr. that they would help my posture after 2 back operations. I was 30 at the time and I had seen them in a catalouge. It was not until I put them on did I make a 360o change. They are NOT ugly. Some are , as in any company. My 1st pair were a sandal called Arizona. The price of their regular shoes are about $100.00-$125.00. Klum's and other celebraties are much more because they are "designer" shoes. That 1st pair were just "repaired" a week ago. I got a totally new pair of sandals because they kept the tops and gave me a new sole. A new pair for about $60.00. If you go to Walmart and buy a pair of uncomfortable sandals and have to keep throwing them out and replacing them continually, isn't it smarter to buy a pair of orthopedically sound Birkenstocks(that you don't have to break in........they fit to your foot as soon as you wear them) and have them 10 years? I think that you deserve to buy the best possible shoes after all the surgeries I have had, then to buy cheap garbage. Every person I have told about Birkenstocks, have thanked me . My husband says I should become an employee or PR person for them since I have sold so many. If you are on your feet alot they have a large number of styles that you will like. Beleive me, after you have worn them a week, you will always want to buy them. I just wish I could afford Heidi Klums design. Instead , I will continue wearing what I can afford and bless Birkenstock for giving me shoes that I can wear that are actually good for my feet.

I think they key factor here is that they are "orthopedically correct." Most shoes or sandals people wear are not. But I agree, you have to have the money to be able to afford the best.

Ho, Hum. Another in the moment celebrity endorses a product, gives mimimum imput into the design, "Oh, let's add rhinestones to the straps," and the price jumps over 100% so she is ensured a healthy, profitable return for the use of her easily recognizable name. I will stick to the unendorsed sandals.

What is the address to send a care package to a Marine in Iraq?
glenn becker Sep 4th 2006 3:00PM
I live in Birkies and have for years. In the winter I wear them with Birkensocks. My plain Birkies are great and they can be resoled and they last forever with good care. Who needs Klums bling? Not me

Birkenstocks are among the UGLIEST shoes known to man or more precisely womankind. Not even uber model Heidi Klum can make them look good.
