The Chester

Established and Sons is a new design company led by Alasdhair Willis, founding publisher of Wallpaper magazine and husband of Stella McCartney. The company features a variety of up and coming British designers as well as known favorites. The piece shown here is one of their limited editions. The Chester is a play on the old-fashioned Chesterfield sofa and is designed by Amanda Levete of Future Systems. It comes in a limited edition of 12.

Unsightly as it may be, you know somone is going to pay BIG bucks for that thing. And that makes them "special." I think it's more fun to shop at garage sales!

looks like the bottom of my sneaker after a day on a hot roof painting in Florida!!!! Coming from Canada... all sofas were chesterfields!! What a rip. How much by the way?

There's nothing to lean back on. I gotta lean back, as most sofas allow, so I would have to lay down on it to accomidate myself thereby coverting it from a sofa to a bed. So it's not even a sofa. It's a baluga whale tougne.
