The latest yard sale comes from the one and only Cher. She is auctioning off 700 pieces from her Malibu home in October. The sale is totally soup to nuts, everything from a 2003 H2 Hummer to her famous Bob Mackie outfits. The auction is being held by Julien's Auctions and Sotheby's. The sale could bring in over $1 million, not bad for a housecleaning sale. Cher is also giving a chunk of her profits to the Cher Charitable Foundation. Cher is getting rid of her neo-Gothic art and furniture so that she can redecorate in a more global style. The auction takes place October 3 and 4 at the Beverly Hilton.Cher's Giant Yard Sale

My daughter recently moved out and on her own. I am turning what used to be her bedroom into a tribute to the 60s. How I wish I could attend Cher's yard sale... I know I would be able to find some really cool things for the room.. if I could afford any of it!

Glad to hear that this is one celeb who is donating a good chunk of the profits to charity. I've always like Cher, even in her quirky ways. She's her own person, and that is an admirable quality.

I admire cher so much and this yard sale adds even more admiration for her. She is a great human being and even more one the greatest entertainers around. How I wish I could be there, but of course that is impossible. Her giving to charity is nothing new for Cher, she is just a giving person. Good luck...and you keep going girl.

You do know that it's not a "garage sale". It's going through Sotheby's & another auction house. Wish it was @ her house!!

I wonder if Cher "Could Turn Back Time" would she have purchased the stuff she is now selling? Like so many others I think she is a great entertainer. For the most part the entertainment world still does not take her seriously. What a shame. Keep going strong Cher!

I have been a Cher fan ever since she came on the scene with Sonny & those animal outfits. I admire her free spirit & her not caring what people think. I'm not surprised to hear that a chunk of the proceeds will go to charity. She has always given the impression that she really cares. Cher RULES!

To Robaba, you missed the part where the story read that she is clearing out the neo gothic look for a more global look. I would not believe Cher was having hard times, she and Sonny worked together to build their financial stability. Now she is doing it herself, do you realize how much she makes on one concert? I could retire on it! I have always admired her not only for her talent, but she has a great mind for business along with a style that is only Cher. Gray hair? No Way....she is gorgeous just the way she is. I wish her the best, and I hope we get to see what she is selling as well as the new look in her house!
