Now that summer is in full swing, it comes time for the designers to share with us what they have in store for next summer.
Louis Vuitton, under the helm of Marc Jacobs and the actual designs of Paul Helbers, debuted a collection that marries Victorian England to Hawaii for an interesting spring/ summer 2007. Normally, I would hesitate at anything that boasts of being "subtly mismatched," but the collection manages to come across as relaxed euro-trash on vacation. (That's a good thing) Men's trousers are well cut and jackets are very well suited to an evening out. Several of the bags are certainly regrettable, but the ones that rock surely cover up those other problems. All in all, the collection is good, although I don't know about the overuse of large lapel pins.
