An $8 Million Ferrari?
The upcoming auctions in Monterey in August are certainly bringing out the pricey cars this year. First we saw a Mercedes which could bring $3 to $4 million. Now check out this 1958 Ferrari 412S racing car which RM Auctions will offer at the Monterey Sports and Classic Car Auction at the Portola Plaza Hotel on August 19. The previous record for a car sold at auction in North America is $6.5 million but this one could go for as much as $8 million. The auction listing says that this car may be one of the greatest sports racing Ferraris ever built and it has a long history of vintage racing. [via Inside Line]
