I would tell anyone that would listen unless have alot of money do NOT get a plasma TV. I spent almost $6,000 on the sony plasma 32" alone, plus an additional $800 on the warranty. One month after the warranty gave out my TV crashed. Total had TV was: two years and one month! I thought the warranty was for three years or would have renewed the warranty. But that would have been an additional 800.00 to renew. Also, to get the Plasma TV fixed, would have been almost $1,500 dollars. And they could not guarantee the panels would not blow again. I had surge protector, turned the TV off when it would start getting warm, etc. I now bought a Sony Digital 36" and the sound is better..even the color! It cost me $1,100 plus 110.00 for a three year warranty. I could have saved myself alot of trouble by getting the digital in the first place. I have since talked to people with the same story as mine. And why should a person have to pay almost $800.00 every two years for a warranty with a TV that cost that much anyway? I can say really the only good having the plasma was to say I had a plasma. When I talk to people that say they have a plasma and have not had troubles, ALL of them when asked have said they have had the plasmas for one to two years. I tell them come tell me in a year or two how they STILL like their plasa. Unless have alot of money to burn would not recommend them to anyone!
