Thomas Pink's Mogul Shirt
Does your shirt really need a pocket for your cigar? Yes, says Thomas Pink. According to Fashion Week Daily, they are rolling out this shirt called the Mogul. The Mogul comes in pink or white and has a split breast pocket designed to hold your cigar on one side and a lighter or cutter on the other. The shirt costs $195 and the pocket is box-pleated so it will lay down nice and flat when not in use. Wear it with their previously released iPod tie and you may never need to own a man-purse.

No gentleman with any class or sense of style would carry any items, personal or otherwise, in his shirt pocket!
Heather Jul 20th 2006 10:07AM
It's like a shirt for the sophisticated nerd...

Remember this, Thomas Pink is from London. After spending 3 months there in central London, all I can say is does anyone recall the tale of The Emperors New Clothes? enough said

wow....that pink cigar shirt and a fresh coat of clear nail polish and I too can be a man of high class. Maybe I'll even get a Franck Muller watch and put on a pair loafers without socks....I'll be all set!

Being in cigar sales and having spent time in some of the most exclusive clubs and cigar lounges, I can honestly say that I can't imagine anyone wearing this shirt.
shelly Jul 20th 2006 11:21AM
any guy out there thats not gay,who is looking for "some", dont wear any thing pink!
cliff sedgwick Jul 20th 2006 11:30AM
This shirt would do well at cocktail hour at a new trophy subdivision in East Hampton; but could be done for 145.oo less at sale at Century 21 downtown and worn to - dare I say it - work?
Kdawk Jul 20th 2006 11:42AM
The pink is not working for masculinity, and any thing protruding from the shirt pocket(pens, cigars, calculators) screams nerd.
xlgonzalez Jul 20th 2006 12:03PM
Pink is for men who are confident in their masculinity and don't give a damn what others think. At 47 years of age, married for 17 years, 3 kids and working in upper management, I don't care what others think about my clothing.
Now; as for the shirt, spread collars are porpularly British and French. The pocket is is arcane. As John Doe before me said: "No gentleman with any class or sense of style would carry any items, personal or otherwise, in his shirt pocket!" Further, displaying a cigar, no matter how expensive, is like displaying your stupidity. Cigars, cigarettes, pipes and chewing tobacco's intended purpose is to kill you -period.
The tie? The knot isn't big enough and the dimple is missing. Makes the $195.00 shirt look like a crap.

LOL @ manpurse! As if!
Yvo Jul 20th 2006 12:23PM
The pink shirt is for the man who is confident enough to know that his masculinity goes beyond the shirt color. The cigar pocket is anything but classy. Maybe they can design one with a round pocket for those who chew tobacco? It will probably sell.....in Alabama ;-)

No dress shirt that cost over $100 should brand you as sucessful.....stupid maybe, but not sucessful.....

Moneyed Male Moguls smoking cigars - ho hum - what does the Moneyed Female Mogul wear?
Candi Jul 20th 2006 12:32PM
I think it would be the perfect shirt for us ladies. Use the 'cigar' pocket for our lip gloss and the 'cigar cutter' pocket for our compact!
Boyd Leake Jul 20th 2006 12:52PM
Get a cigar case.

Being a cigar smoker and very successful I can tell you it would be a cold day in hell before I would wear a shirt like that. All my shirts are handmade and look it. This shirt looks like something you would buy at WalMart.
Bill G Jul 20th 2006 12:56PM
For that price, it should come with power steering, power brakes and a radio and heater. It is another case of selling something for the newly wealthy crowd who need a status symbol. Fits right in for folks with more money than brains

Love a pink shirt on a guy who can carry it off; disgusted by a guy who smokes, let alone smokes cigars. The pink tie isn't for any "real man" that I've seen. So, in closing, a pink shirt with a pink tie displaying a terd in it's pocket is not at all class, but a mere display of insecurity and only worn because "some Thomas Pink" said it was okay.
Kim Jul 20th 2006 1:21PM
I'm surprised that there aren't any good responses to this shirt and tie combination. When I see it I think, Oh, this will cater to this generation who likes to hang everything out on their sleeve for everyone to see. Usually it's Hi, I'm Homo, or I'm Bi. Who is supposed to know about your sexual preference. Before it all came out people didn't walk around and share, I'm Hetro. Maybe if you put the cigar sheath on the sleeve it'll sell. Change the tie and put a pen in the pocket.

Anyone who smokes ANYTHING has a death wish, plain and simple. It stinks - bad - nothing cute, cool or sophisticated about it. Sorry. Anyone who smokes cigars, cigarettes, pot, whatever - kindly keep it out of my air space, thank you very much. If you want to destroy your own body, that is your right, your privilege, but you have no right or privilege to destroy anyone else's.
