103" Plasma to Break Record
I always scan one of our posts for the price because that's the most fun of a luxury consumer goods blog, so I'll be upfront and say that a price on this baby hasn't been announced yet. Guaranteed to be well over $7500, which is what their 65" plasma goes for. Anyways, on to the guts of the post. Matsushita, the parent company of Panasonic, is going to start selling the world's biggest plasma TV early next year. A mere one inch larger than Samsung's prototype panel, the Matsushita is about the size of a queen mattress and is expected to sell 5,000 pieces per year. Orders are already placed for the monitors as business products for billboards, studio monitors, and the like, and will be delivered this fall.[Thanks to Bunky (Bryan) for the tip.]
