Platinum Mercedes Keychain
Thanks to an alert reader, I think we may have uncovered the most expensive keychain we have ever seen here at Luxist. Mercedes Benz Canada sells a keychain for $22,239.99 CAN (approx $19,900 USD). It is made from .950 platinum and the brushed finish bears the Mercedes logo on the sides, as well as an appliqued emblem on top. We're still wondering if they keychain includes anything with it - like a car.
They also carry an 18K gold (.750) keychain in the same style for $7,469.99 CAN.

After living in Canada, and the U.S., I've found that Canadian jewelry pieces tend to be much more expensive(in U.S. dollars) than identical pieces in the U.S.; has anyone else noticed this?

Wow you can buy a car with that nowadays

I'll just wait to buy a used "Benz" and then maybe they will throw in the key chain to make up for the depreciation on the vehicle.

With gas prices as high as they are I wish I didn't have a Benz. I would never buy a keychain for that much. Not unless it drives the car itself. A key chain can't do anything for me but hold my keys. I would the 19 grand and spend it on shoes and other trinkets.

I think the # 2 is for real. SOOOO excited to see the pricey bobbl mentioned, that the excitement of it all caused many a typo.
As if, if you don't type really fast, the internet might expire... nouveau riche?

Isn't anyone concerned about the fact that this is in Canada rather than the Middle East or US?
