Moscow: World's Most Expensive City

While the dollar has been bouncing about currency markets worldwide, the Russian ruble has been relatively stable in comparison. This has sent Moscow to the top of the world's most expensive list. Housing prices in the Russian capital are largely to blame as foreign workers are fighting for decent residences. The flailing Yen knocked perennial top seat Tokyo off to number 3. New York City remains the most expensive in North America and London tops the list in Europe. At least you can get deals on vodka and caviar.
