Ocean Vodka
Sigh, another vodka. I know, I know, how many of them do we really need? I sometimes think it won't stop until each state has a vodka or two. This one, Ocean Vodka, uses deep sea water from Hawaii and organic corn and rye. The draw here is that the vodka is for the ecologically conscious. Ocean works with Koyo USA which makes MaHaLo Hawaii Deep Sea Water. The water is drawn from 3,000 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean. The cold water is said to be devoid of surface pollutants. The water is desalinated for drinking and blended with the alcohol which is distilled in Idaho. The vodka is expected to sell for $35 to $40 per bottle.[via Honolulu Star Bulletin]
