Florida Restaurant Debuts $100 Burger
We've seen some pricey burgers before but never one that involves hamburger from three separate continents. The new $100 burger being served at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. The 20-ounce burger is created from American prime beef, Japanese Wagyu (Kobe) and Argentine cattle. The burger is sauted with grapeseed oil and the garnish includes organic greens, mushrooms and tomatoes. The restaurant donates $10 from each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida.

I thought beef from Argentina was illegal to export to the U.S.? I think Argentine beef is actually raised in Australia. Sort of like Krab for fake crab...

$100 for a high quality meat & organic condiment burger and $10 to "Make A Wish" well it's not like they don't have any to spare even at that - $100? I can't imagine it would be worth it other then bragging rights to the most rediculous expenditure

Wagyu Beef is from Austrailia - Kobe Beef is from Japan... Therefore it's impossible to have a Japanese Wagyu Beef cause the only difference between Kobe Beef and Austrailia is the location of where the cows are raised!
How could you make a mistake like that Luxist?

Actually, kmhtkmhtkmht, how do you make a mistake like that. "Wagyu" is actually translated from Japanese meaning Japanese cow. Wagyu is a registered breed of cattle predisposed to higher fat marbling and superior flavor, "Kobe" is a designation for the Wagyu born in Kobe Japan. This burger sounds ok, but way overpriced. I can get a good American Kobe, Wagyu cattle raised in US, very good, for about $15 here in Houston. Last week in Vegas I had the best burger though, at Burger Bar in Mandalay called the Rossini, it's American Kobe patty, rare of course, topped with seared Foie Gras and about 3 ounces of shaved black truffles, it was absolutely amazing, for $60.
