Purple in Napa, Estate of the Day

I've seen a purple kitchen before but the de Rham residence in Calistoga, California takes purple to a whole new level. This contemporary home was built in 2002 for Sharon and Chris de Rham and sits on 19 acres with views across the vineyards and hillsides. The home has over 6,000 square feeot of indoor living space and another 2,800 square feet  of covered/open patio. Inside the home has French antique doors, high ceilings, huge beams, a  marble fireplace and plenty of purple in just about every shade. Purple kitchen, purple tile in the outdoor kitchen, purple walls, purple cabinets. Logically, it should be sort of overwhelming but the designers knew what they were doing and the overall effect is rather calming and elegant. It is listed at $7.6 million. After the jump, someone call Prince, his new palace in Napa awaits.
