Toos Fringed Evening Bag, Handbag of the Day
Ordinarily, I would highlight a handbag that is attractive, useful or stylish for the Handbag of the Day post. This bag falls into none of those categories and, in fact, is one of the ugliest bags I've ever seen. It looks like the Swamp Thing or something that the Swamp Thing might use if he decided to become a drag queen.
I have nothing against fringe and, in fact, really like it on many things. It looks best on Western show gear, but there are handbags and furniture that look nice with a bit of fringe, as well. The Toos Fringed Evening Bag takes fringe to an extreme, as the body of the bag, already covered with sequins, is swathed in olive green silk satin fringe, with a matching tip handle. The bag has gold hardware and a clasp closure, which is decorated further with faux jewels. It's impossible to tell from the photo when the actual bag ends, but it's a safe bet that a good portion of the thing pictured is just fringe. Price: $1,475.

Ooh la love. Maybe I'm just a sucker for all things neo 1920s, but I dig it. I'm also trackback-challenged, so I wanted to tell you I blogged this post at www.thisnext.com/blog/
