Oprah's New Plane

We recently mentioned Oprah's home improvements. Ever wonder how she commutes to her California home when she does her show in Chicago? Private plane, of course, and she will soon have a new plane to decorate. It has been reported that she will soon receive a custom-built Global Express XRS from Bombardier Aerospace. The $47-million executive jet has seating for 10 passengers and has a leather interior with designer fixtures for the bathroom and galley. There is an aft stateroom for naps as well as a crew rest area and of course a large main cabin with every amenity Oprah could possibly require.

I think it's hilarious that Oprah gets on TV and whines about how "we all need to do more to help New Orleans", then plunks down 47mil for a private jet! Just think how many people that 47mil would have helped. And she wants me to send part of MY social security money?? Fat chance!!

aaaaaaawwwww right nuf is nuff Oprah has nuf money let her spend it as she pleases. That nasty stuff has no place on here. nuff= enough "chuckle"
to bad most of us can not pay the taxes or insurance on that plane. Sure it is tax write off so what !!!!!
However----- I would settle for half the airplane she bough and spend the other 23 mill on deserving ( note deserving) folk. if only 23 mill ---- that would by 153families a 150,000 home

What is the matter with these fowl mouth uppity people on here. So Oprah has purchased a plane. Good for her. She will most likely use it to get people out of a hurricane zone this summer. Get off of her case. She has worked her way up from nothing and if more women did what she has done these United States would be unified and there would be alot less whining going on within these blogs. Gay relationship. Oh please that is rubbish. You must never have had a lifelong friend. What a pity for you Melinda you are to stupid and blind to see the good in people. TA TA ...

For all the people that like to talk bad about Oprah I would like to see what you have done with your life? What have you done to help other people (besides your own family)? How many times have you donated your time and/or money to people you don't even know? You sound very jealous and petty to me.

Hey-Average Joe and Deb- It is not your a dumb b---h it is YOUR'RE-- and Oprah made it to WHERE she is-- not were she is. You both flunked.
That being said, it is encouraging to know that Oprah grew up a poor child and has amassed the riches she now enjoys. I too applaud her generosity. I even enjoy the bling on occasion but think it should be confined to shows regarding fashion and jewelry etc. When Oprah is addressing a serious subject, I can't keep my mind on the topic at hand without being distracted by the obviously top of the line diamond earrings blinding my eyes. I find myself wondering if they are genuine and if they are, how much they might be worth. Regardless of what you might think about her personally though, she does put in many hours to help get her show on the air when there are a lot of people who just sit on their behinds and choose to contribute to nothing but their complaints about what is wrong with the world. Ophrah already knows she cannot please everyone and you better believe she definitely knows who is her audience.

I think Oprah deserves to buy anything she needs. She earns it legally and does a lot of good to others. Many of those hollywoodies live in other countries so they don't have to pay taxes to the US. Oprah pays her taxes to the USA.
People are just jealous who complain about it

Hey, It's her money and she can do as she likes. Did she happen to be the right person, in the right place at the right time and became wealthy because of it? Absolutely........More power to her. Does she do a lot of charity work? maybe... Does she donate a lot of $$ to good causes? maybe... I recommend the majority of people posting write to her, ask for a donation, and use the money to finish middle school and high school. Most of the responses I read were absolutely pitiful and were written like the person spent the best five years of their life in 5th grade before dropping out. I know I'm not perfect and make spelling mistakes, but damn!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd be embarrassed if my name were on some of these responses.

I am not sure what to think of Oprah sometimes. I do think she has gotten a bit flaunty lately, but she does do a whole lot of good for a whole lot of people. Who cares if she feels the need to say "Look what I did!"? Generally speaking, I think she is a decent person. But she is also a Hollywood person... a very powerful Hollywood person who has some big star traits (look at me...look what I have...look what I can do...etc...). I do get the sense from time to time that she is more interested in helping black people than people in general, and in helping females more than males. Even if that is the case, who cares? At least she is supporting very good causes that she believes in and helping lots of people.

What has Oprah given to the needy that was not given to her ? Pontiac gave everybody on her show a G6 Oprah didn't flip out the bucks. Maybe she should have told pontiac to help people who really need it instead of her audience.

PS is it just me or does she enjoy exploiting white trash on her show?

Everyone has an opinion of course but the way we show or say our opinion also shows are character. We don't need to talk about a person that way. Sure, Oprah is filthy rich and sometimes she likes to spend it on herself. She also donates a lot to people in need, either by using her wealth, giving hope to someone that they can also make it through rough time. "We don't see people for who they are. We see them as who we are."

I guess their are no flights out of Chicago. Stars talk big about conserving fuel, then burn thousands of gallons of fuel to fly a private jet when a first class ticket would take her with in a few miles. Thats right it's the working class who need to conserve energy.

I THINK WE ALL NEED TO PUT OURSELVES IN OPRAHS POSITION. WHAT IF YOU HAD HER MONEY? WHAT WOULD YOU SPEND IT ON? I PROBABLY WOULDN'T BUY MYSELF AN AIRPLANE, BUT I WOULD BUY WHAT I WANTED. SHE DOES HELP ALOT OF PEOPLE. IF MONEY WAS MADE TO HOLD ONTO- IT WOULD'VE BEEN MADE WITH A HANDLE.

I'LL TRY TO POST THIS AGAIN.. I DID RESPECT OPRAH IN THE PAST FOR WHAT SHE HAS DONE. HOWEVER, I HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF LATELY. FIRST OF ALL. WHEN TOM CRUISE JUMPED ON HER COUCH THE OLD OPRAH WOULD HAVE ASKED,"ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK?". THE NEW OPRAH COULD JUST SAY," HE'S GONE!!". THE OLD OPRAH SEE'S ALL RACES AS EQUAL. THE NEW OPRAH HAS HAS A LEGENDS BALL HONORING ONLY BLACK WOMEN. IF WHITE PEOPLE DID THAT THEY WOULD BE CALLED RACIST. SHE ALSO HAD ONLY WHITE WAITERS AT THE DINNER. WHY NOT HAVE ALL RACES? THERE ARE WHITE AND BLACK LEGENDS. THERE ARE HYSPANIC AND ORIENTAL LEGENDS. WHAT I SEE IN MY LIFE IS WOMEN LEGENDS---PERIOD. NO RACE INVOLVED. JUST STRONG WOMEN. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN OPRAH.
