Hermes Printed Beach Towels
Hermes can even make a sandy beach luxurious with their plush, terrycloth beach towels, though it doesn't hurt if that beach is on a remote tropical island, either. Featuring rich colors and bold prints, the towels maintain a sense of the fun, carefree look that a beach towel should have. Designs include schools of fish, an ocean liner and swimming sea turtles. It's hard to say which design is the most attractive, so it's probably best to get them all. Use the ship print while on deck during a cruise and save the animal prints for sunbathing. You'll definitely catch the eyes of everyone on the cruise ship! The towels measure 36x60-inches and are priced at $450 each.

The cost is not care-free. I can bear spending $450 on something that is designed to towel me off. Costco has large towels for less than $15 and I believe they are longer than 60 inches. This is for people who have nothing better to spend their money on. It is a lovely design, but I could buy groceries for my family of four for half of the month for that price.

$450 was rent for the month for either of my last 2 apartments--so it is a bit excessive to pay that much for a towel

Do people actually pay these prices? Even if I was 'loaded' - a beach towel is JUST a beach towel.
The pictures and prints are just hunkey dorey, but the cheap version dries my bum just the same as the expesive one!

Obviously people do buy these items or they would not manufactor them.So consequently they do have a market for them and that is why they feel they can charge so much. They set themselves up to me ripped off.It makes them feel self important and they show off to their friends. It's all about prestige.

Hey, if ya got it...
Little rich for my blood. Many people who have that kind of net worth give away more to charitable causes per year than many of us "regular folks" even make in that same period. Hopefully the ones who would buy these towels are some of those people. If that's the case, I'd let it slide. Meanwhile, for the rest of us it won't be long before the fake ones start showing up alongside all the watches and handbags.

some people are just nutz.

$450.oo for a beach towel!?! That is stupid!!! Do you know how many starving children in the USA that could feed. A towel is a towel, go buy a $25 dollar one and if you don't have anything better to do with the rest give it to charity, donate it to the spouses of our millitary people who are trying to make ends meet while the other is deployed!
Andrea May 30th 2006 3:52PM
Do the beach towels come with someone to help you dry off?
If someone wants to pay that kind of money, I'll sew one for you and rake in the money!
Geez!

Purhaps these towels are priced high for fund raising, as I know that Hermes donated items for a golf tournament I worked for Autism a couple years back. That wouldn't be nearly as bad as the $10,000 a plate dinners. But hey if it's for a deserving charity break out the check book.

You people just don't understand that fashion and quality cost money. Plus the price keeps the common people from owning one. I personally have 2 of these. One for my puppy, and one for me. Hermes is a quality product. I truly believe that it soaks up water better off my amazingly beautiful body. And the softness cannot be beat.

It just amazes me that beach towels can cost $450.00 and people will actually buy them. With so much poverty in the world, charities needing help and the spouses of our military who are out fighting for our country needing financial assistance to make ends meet....is the best way to spend $450 on towels. I think not!!!
mark s May 30th 2006 3:58PM
actually thin beach towels are better because they dry out much quicker
Ellen Meekins May 30th 2006 4:03PM
If I was rich I won't spend that much on a beach towel as I found what Iwanted for only $2.99 @ I am well pleased
ARLENE ROSZAK May 30th 2006 4:15PM
When people have money they will spend the money on whatever it is, no matter how much it cost and the more it is I think that they like it even more because they think that its the best... Just like sheets with a thread count .. Please a sheet is a sheet ... you sleep on it... what the heck do you care the thread count... I will never get that one...

THIS IS CRAZY $450 FOR A BEACH TOWEL. GUESS IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND.
John May 30th 2006 4:28PM
450.00 for a towel! good grief at the price of that thing you could hire somebody to dry you off after getting wet and then still have money left to buy a lobster feast
Francis Marino May 30th 2006 4:29PM
Honestly, i couldnt care less. if someone wants to pay 450 for a towel..well go for it. personal i would rather blow 450 on a great evenin of beer, boobs and Bar B que
dan May 30th 2006 4:30PM
for $450, it better include a few days at a resort too. preferrably in the virgin islands or antigua.
Chris Vomit May 30th 2006 4:37PM
I'm going to buy all of these. Because I have so much money. I buy things with my money. Because I'm wicked rich.
Chris May 30th 2006 4:38PM
OK, Paris Hilton! You have the money
