Spirt of Scotland Whisky Perfume

If you like the smell of Scotch whisky, soon you will be able to wear it as a perfume. The Scotsman reports that the Spirit of Scotland, a new malt whisky scent, will go on sale this fall for around £75 ($138). The scent has been created by George Dodds, a Highlands biochemist, who has tried to recreate the smoky and peaty smells of island malts. The scent contains no whisky but instead uses vetiver, naricssus and rose to create the essence of whisky. Potential users have proved responsive to the scent although not everyone thinks that it smells like whisky. According to the article most people got the smoky notes but also noted the strong florals and one person likened it to the smell of polished furniture.
