Tyrwhitt often use a cheap fused collar (which feels stiff and falls apart easily) and many of the shirts don't have a separate placket, so the pattern doesn't match properly across the front of the shirt.  Thomas Pink shirts (like Tyrwhitt) are made using a mechanical process which forces excess material into the collar points, which causes the points to wear quickly as they are abraded when steam ironed.
