Coach Signature Ombr?ote, Handbag of the Day

The Ombré Tote is one of Coach's new limited edition bags this season. Bold and bright, the bag bears the signature Coach logo and is made of cotton twill, dip -dyed in orange and brass. Metallic leather accents the top opening and the handles, while the fish ornament adds a fun touch to the whole piece. The roomy tote measures 15 1/4 x 16 1/4 x 6 1/2-inches, making it great for weekend getaways. It pairs perfectly with a pair of metallic sandals or ballet flats, for a glamorous summer look. Price: $698.

Let's face it.....Coach is just a very poor knock-off of Gucci. Their efforts to mass market the "C"'s is an embarrassing attempt at recognition.

I think this bag is a great summer item. Aside from the gold leather, the colors are vbrant, and the size is versatile enough to be used for work, play, or even kids' stuff. The price on this one is too steep for me, but Coach is worth every penny!

Pretty purse, but who would pay $700 for a purse that gets set on the floor at a restaurant, crammed into a drawer or locker at work, shoved into a closet, etc.? If this is suggested as a Mother's Day gift, I'd much rather my children give me a purse for a tenth this price--then spend the rest on paying off their debts, treating my grandchildren, taking a weekend vacation, or giving to a charity. For myself, I'd rather have ten purses in ten different styles/colors than one.

It's a cute tote sure, but I wouldn't pay $698 for cotton twill! How dirty is that bag going to get being tossed around on weekends? Would I even dare to toss it in the washer? I don't think so. I think I'll carry something a little worrisome and save the cash for a real fund getaway weekend.

Looks pretty cute, but I think very overpriced for something made of fabric. better to buy a nice strong leather tote!

This is a nice bag that I wouldn't mind having myself. My daughter just loves Coach purses - she has many. I'd love to be able to get this one for her but for $700? Just can't see paying that much when the cost of living is high enough, kids need financial help, grandson is spoiled ..... I cringed when she told me that she bought a Coach wallet on sale for $60.

Instead of buying a seasonal bag for 700 why not rent one instead. Go to bagborroworsteal.com or a similar web site to rent. I love Coach but why buy one bag with a starting price at $200 and up when you can rent different bags all year for the starting price of $240 and up. I love options but hate to spend so much money for one bag.

I am an owner of many Coach bags and love them!!! I love this one but can't see myself spending a mortgage payment on purse!!!! I wait till it goes on Ebay!!!

Nice but now that Coach is making their bags in China, why are they still priced skyhigh? I have several Coach bags but I'm not paying a premium price for something made in China by a worker making .25 an hour. I'm glad their shareholders are happy with a huge profit on cheap labor but I want a quality product made in the US like it used to be.
And...rent a purse? What is this world coming to? That's just nuts!

i think it is a cute bag , i am a lil skeptical on the price tho considering it is a fabric hand bag i have spent 700 and a little more for bags however i dont know if i would drop 700 for a fabric bag from coach from dior maybe from cole haan maybe ..but coach nahhh..damn cute bag tho

I would pay that for a Louis Vuitton but certainly not for COACH. At least my LV bag appreciated and maintains a high resell value. Uh, Coach, I don't think so! I would pay 300.00 for this bag, not a penny more.

I couldn't agree more with Suz K. It wouldn't matter HOW MUCH money I made, if I spent $700 on a (cloth no less) purse my next stop would be to have my head examined! Especially when that purse is being made by the same people making the same money as the purse I could buy at a flea market for $14.00. Oh well "out sourcing" is great when your a stock holder! Sucks for the Americans out of work... Renting a purse for $250? Lord save me!

You are all nuts if you would even think of spending that kind of money on a purse. There are so many other important things to give that money to. Children are dying everyday, do you know how many children $700

If u can afford a $700.00 purse, u don't have to worry about it being on the floor, stuffed in a locker, or crammed in drawer because there should be many more where that one came from. If u can afford it go right ahead, if not stick to walmart purses and don't hate on those people who have no problem spending $700.00 on a purse.

I like Coach. That said, I can't afford it...I wish I could. I don't like this bag, But I do like alot of the signature bags. In my opinion, Coach is priced just high enough to be out of reach for most of us. I wish they would lower prices just enough for us REGULAR people..lolol...They would make more money.....Like they need it ..lol...I can wish..
