Cannonball Run Heads Back To The U.S.
Cannonball
Run, a road rally that has recently been held in Europe will be taking the high octane action stateside next year.
The Great American Run will take place July 29 – Aug 4, 2007. Four hundred cars will start from four
cities, Atlanta, Miami, New York and Washington DC, and drive 3000 miles across the country. Each route will cover
around the same distance. The goal is to maintain an average speed of 61mph over the entire route. There will be 400
cars involved and they will meet up in Las Vegas and proceed together to Los Angeles. They will also get to spend a
track day at a race track. The event ends up in a two-day celebration in Los Angeles. The event costs $10,000 which
covers all parties, accommodations and meals. No need to worry about taking your own pictures, 40 film crews will
capture the entire event for a full-length DVD. 100 cars have already signed up. [via Autospies]
