No, Ferrari hasn't started making motorcycles (although apparently they did briefly in the past) but one enterprising builder has made his own. George, a former vintage GP racer built two Frankenstein-style Ferrari motorcycles using bits from other motorcycles, cars and airplanes. The V-12 Ferrari shown here is called "Dino": It has a 350 hp Ferrari engine. It's not the sleekest thing I've ever seen and is probably not that easy to handle but what a great sound it must make when you turn the key!

With only one picture and a single paragraph, this was poor coverage of the subject. People click on the links because they are interested in the subject and expect decent coverage.

Surprised? Hardly. Didn't Dodge do the same same thing with a Viper engine? They did...bigger, more powerful, and better looking. What's with the one picture anyway?

Big deal the one of a kind Daimler/Chrysler Tomahawk is far more impressive with its 500 +HP 500 + Ftlbs of torque V-10.
Ferraris are so last century.

Dodge did the same thing, but called it the Tomahawk. It's alot better looking.
How fast can this thing go?
How much does it weigh?
This is a lazy article.

Whats all this talk about Dodge... Chevy was the first to produce a motorcycle with a V8, The only difference here is ferrari put a car motor in a crotch rocket instead of a cruiser.

Boss Hoss was the first one to make a production motorcyle with a V8 and make it available to the public and not only a prototype to take one picture of and for it to be forgotten!

Hey peepulz, get a life!!
This was an individual, not a multi-billion dollar corporation.
He had some pieces of Ferrari lying about.
Geez, don't we all?
He built two superbikes in his spare time.
Let everyone who has built a superbike rip him a new one.
All others -- close the pieholes -- until you match his production.

This bike would probably be too heavy and only good on the highway. I saw a bike on the Coker Tire website that had a 1930's Ford 60 horse power flathead V8. The motor is so small that it looked right in the retro-styled bike. It would be perfect except for the fact that it only had one gear. I would like to ride this Ferrari bike.

Everyones talking about Harley, and the Tomahawk! Both of those development departments have access to unlimited amounts of money! So yes in the CONSUMERS eyes they should be better, faster, and have all the bells and whistles. This mans got full respect from me for one, thinking outside the box, and two for building it himself.

Looks like Barry made a mistake in his statement. Should have read, "if it isn't a Harley, it isn't Crap", because Harley is! They have never come up with anything "NEW" since the first one to hit the road. At least this Guy George has the guts to try something new, at least it don't look like all other cycles. Good going "George", who ever you are. Keep it up. Lets hear more about this machine.

SHEESH! WHY NOT ADD A PAIR OF WINGS AND TWO JET ENGINES WHILE THEY ARE AT IT? ISN'T THE WHOLE IDEA OF A MOTORCYCLE SOMETHING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, CHEAP, FAST AND ECONOMICAL? THE LOGIC OF MOTORCYCLES THAT COST AS MUCH AS AUTOMOBILES AND ARE ALMOST AS BIG
FRANKLY ESCAPES ME!
