Oprah's Home Improvements
Oprah's
$50 million mansion just outside Santa Barbara in Montecito, California, has been nicknamed Oprah's Hearst Castle, due to its size and luxury. The property covers some 42 acres
and the house itself is 23,000 square feet. It has 6 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and, as you might imagine, just about
everything else. Some of the improvements Oprah has
made since purchasing the house in 2001 include the installation of a massive home theater, building a man-made lake
with rare fish and having Montecito sandstone bricks hand-laid in the quarter-mile long driveway. She has also put in a
closet the size of an ordinary master bedroom, not for her, but for Stedman to keep what must be a large suit collection.

Just a note to justright. Bill gates has done tremendous wonders for the people of Africa. He began an immunization program to omitt diseases so African children will not die; something our counrty takes for granted because we have the resources for immunizations. In addition, if you research his website, you will notice he has donated one billion dollars to the Negro College Fund. Since learning of what he has done for the world, yes the world,I have new found respect for Gates. As for Trump, he is a different story. Oprah also is wonderful. Good for her. If she chooses to spend her money the way she wants, it is her privilege; a privilege she didn't have when she was younger.

You know, I have read all of the comments thus far about Oprah, and I have to say how disappointed I am with some people. You have nothing better in your life to do than to put down a person just because she has worked hard and made something of herself? You are just being petty and jealous. Just because you don't have what she has worked so hard for many years to gain doesn't make HER a bad person. I don't have anything, I live from one check to the next just like most of the people in this world. But I do not blame or belittle someone that has more than I do. That is just a sad way to live your life. You know you should take a hard look at yourself, and ask yourself why you don't have any more than you do, could it possibly be because you are too worried about what SHE has to be able do anything about your situation? You must realize that it can't help you or anyone else to put Oprah down. Get over yourself and leave her alone!
