Cartier Love Collection

The Cartier Love Collection was recently reborn with a whole new line of pieces in addition to the classic Love bracelet. The original collection debuted in the 1970s and was designed to represent enduring love because it was fastened with a tiny, sturdy screw, which required an equally tiny screwdriver to open and close it. The screwdriver is disguised as a pendant. The current collection includes rings, necklaces, earrings, cuff links and wedding rings in metals ranging from pink gold to platinum. While all the pieces are engraved with the signature love "screw" emblem, which partially disguises the location of the real screw, many also feature diamonds or other precious stones.

Just saw this posting. My mom has this bracelet and used to wear it all the time when I was young. I remember going into her jewelery box and trying it on..obviously it was 10 sizes to big, but I loved the symbolism behind it. I remember the day my dad gave the red box to my mom. It was her first thing from Cartier. My mom promises to pass this bracelet down to me when I get married in October. Thanks for bringing it back!

i remember when my fiancee bought me this bracelet. at first i thought it was just a classic looking pretty piece, but when i realized the idea behind the screw i thought it was so perfect. i like the white gold.

I remember when I first pulled up the picture for this bracelet after reading about Cruise buying one for Katie Holmes. I sat there puzzled and wondering why on earth anyone would shell out big bucks for a bracelet that looked like it was made with materials left over from a construction site. But now that I know the story behind the symbolism, it makes more sense and is kinda romantic...in an industrial sorta way.

Still, I doubt anyone would have been able to overlook it's humble design if "Cartier" wasn't etched on it.

i didn't know there was a story behind this bracelet...not until i search for cartier products...just before when i browse the net, my husband gave me this cartier love bracelet as my birthday gift...we both have it...a collection of our his and hers things...im gonna share to him the story behind this bracelet.
