Kasbah Tamadot

Time for something exotic! How about a trip to out of the way Morocco? Sir Richard Branson (of Virgin everything fame) has created a wonderful retreat in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, 45 minutes from Marrakech. Kasbah Tamadot is designed like a Moorish fortress with numerous intimate courtyards with fountains and lush greenery, all with views of the magnificent mountain rage at its doorstep. Only 18 rooms ensure the utmost service and privacy and a three bedroom "master suite" has 3 bedrooms of its own, as well as a private pool. The hotel's restaurant is ran by chef Jean Mundell-Murphy who was trained by noted chef, Raymond Blanc. Rates for this exclusive Kasbah start at 290 Euros a night.

Went to Morocco in October 2005. I would recommend this country to everyone. The Atlas Mts. are breathtaking, so is the ride up and down them! A very narrow 2 lane highway. Food in Morocco is delicious, people are friendly, shopping is a grand adventure. A wonderful place to vacation.

We had a wonderful trip to Morocco as well, but be careful when you purchase something to be shipped. It is often not clarified if you are paying for items to be crated for shipping or actually shipped, and when the shipping agent from the airline calls to say your item has arrived, their costs may very well be more than what you paid for your purchase, and you then have no recourse. Check receipts in english and french!
