Gucci 85th Anniversary Bags

WWD has this picture of the new bags that Gucci is creating to celebrate their 85th anniversary. Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini has taken the classic shape of the hobo bag and remodeled it in new materials. The bags will also have brass and enamel plates (meant to be worn on the inside) which are marked with the year. Other looks will include a patchwork of  multicolored strips of reptile skins and "web tartan," which will involve a stylized velvet plaid with the double G logo in velvet. The bags will be sold only in Gucci stores from July through December.
