Thiessen Design Light-Up Table

I am a girl with a crush on a table. I became smitten Saturday afternoon at CA Boom when I saw the handsome designer polishing this stainless steel bistro table with the illuminated top. The designer Jeffrey Thies, demonstrated for me that the table has controls underneath the top the lights inside the table can be turned off and on and even dimmed. I peered underneath and noticed that even the underside of the table was covered in a soft attractive fabric.  It's a truly stunning piece. A passerby noted that the glass mosaic surface is too bumpy to rest a drink on but the piece is more art than functional design.  For those who absolutely have to have a place to rest their drink, he also makes a lighted coffee table with a granite surface that is a bit more cocktail-glass-friendly. The glass mosaic table sells for around $10,000.  Thies also creates a wide variety of furniture and art in styles from Craftsman to modern and everything in between as well as working on corporate art and designing interiors. A picture of the coffee table after the jump. Check out more innovative work at the Thiessen Design website.
