Idol Vodka
At an event this week I had a chance to try out Idol Vodka. Idol is another in an increasingly crowded field of grape-based vodkas. This one is a distillation of Chardonnay
and Pinot Noir form Burgundy. The vodka is distilled seven times and filtered five times. My experience was that the
vodka was very smooth and didn't have a grapey nose (unlike its French rival, Ciroc). It's basically neutral with just
a hint of sweetness. It sells for $35.
