Here's a romantic idea for long distance loves. A
new prototype from MIT is a wine glass that lets
you know when your love has sipped. The glasses, developed by Jackie Lee and Hyemin Chung, use wireless links, liquid
sensors and LED lights. When one person picks up a glass the red LED glows in the others glass and when one person
sips, the white LED lets the other sipper know. The glasses can also have a practical as well as romantic purpose,
allowing remote monitoring of water drinking by the sick or elderly. But it's more fun to imagine it as a shared wine
moment.

My very close friend is getting married in June 3 in Iowa and I was thinking this might be the ideal wedding present.
