Ferrari Enzo Crash on PCH
I saw this on the local news this morning. Apparently
some idiot took a Ferrari Enzo out for a little early morning spin along Pacific Coash Highway in Malibu. The genius
smashed the $1 million car into a telephone pole and then took off into the hills leaving his passenger in the car with
a cut lip. A three-hour search by helicopter and car failed to turn up the driver. According to details from the news, the engine was on the highway while
the Ferrari wreckage was a few hundred yards away and it is estimated the car was traveling at least 100 mph. Given
that the Enzo is an extremely rare and pricey car it makes me wonder if we are looking at a celeb-on-the-run situation
here.UPDATE: It turns out the passenger was the owner of the car. The owner who is from the Beverly Hills-Bel Air area says the driver ran off but according to police only the driver's side airbag had blood on it.

The owner should know who is driving the car.

I live about a mile away from the crash and got to see the wreckage... It was definitely ugly.

It is the owner's responsibility to report to the police who was driving the car. The fact that the driver ran from the scene shows cowardice.
And stupidity considering that the driver's identity will become known.

The owner is known for driving fast cars and has been convicted of fraud which led to a prison sentence of 10 years. The information is in Swedish at this site: http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/story/0,2789,719007,00.html and his identity is from this article: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,18235227-954,00.html?from=rss the question is whether the Gizmondo wasn't a far greater crash than driving his car into a telephone pole.

I'm very impressed with the car's safety system if it really was traveling at close to 200 mph!

all they have to do is DNA test the blood on the driver's side airbag
