Andersen Geneve makes
watches that are always high on beauty but low on readability. For this year's Baselworld show, Sven
Andersen is breaking out the Grande Jour et Nuit, a new version of the original which debuted six years ago. It has a
hand-wound caliber A573 (base Frederic Piguet) movement. According to
Time Zone, the hour hand points to
the day with its longer end and the night with its short end and jumps to the following hour when the minute hand has
performed a full revolution of the dial. It comes in 18K white or rose gold, measures 44mm and has double sapphire
crystals. The dial is 22kt blue gold with tapasserie finish. It's lovely but I have no idea what time it is showing.

I understand the 17:40 or the :40 but I can't gasp the 5pm. Cool concept tho.
