Our province is so full of such history that it's hard not to be attracted to this island and the home which is on it. I know the picture of the island itself is a little discouraging, but if you go to the ad on ebay, it shows pictures of the land around the house, as well as pictures of the house and the 100ft causeway which connects the island to Grand Bruit. As for the comment of the island being remote and "chilly": this is Newfoundland, not Iceland....we do not live in igloos and we do have a beautiful summer....warm, not chilly.

Kay

Comments on Newfoundland Island For Sale

I couldn't quite afford a whole island but I have just bought a house in Cupids! Don't you realize that the story is fiction? That's like saying - after seeing the movie Gangs of New York I'm scared off of New York City. It's a stupid comment.
When are people going to stop believing bigoted comments about Newfoundland and Newfoundlanders? The truth is that Newfoundland is a beautiful island in the middle of the north Atlantic (so yes, it is wet and cold there from time to time – but it can also be sunny and warm). The people of Newfoundland have all sorts of different personalities – funny enough – just like people from anywhere else!

Christina Snow
