Most Expensive Champagnes
Not
including hard to find exotics, Krug, Clos du Mesnil 1995 tops the Forbes most expensive champagne list at $750 a
bottle. Only 12,624 of the bottles were produced. Coming in at second is Bollinger Blanc de Noirs Vielilles Vignes
Francaises 1997 at $400 a pop. Despite coming from the Pinot Noir grape, it is a fine golden color. Dom Pérignon
Rosé 1995 make is in the top 3 of course at $350. Aromas of strawberries and cream show Dom’s style of
delicacy and finesse.

Interseted in buying American. Try anything from Schramsberg. Our favorite is the Blanc de Nior but the Blanc de Blanc is heads and above the best seller.
Remember, small bubbles, small headache. Large bubbles, large headache. Don Ho said it best....."Tiny bubbles in the wine......."

Milton Friedman isn't dead! It's a great story!

Schramsburg's Blanc de Blanc has it all: tiny bubbles, a fair price, great nose - you don't need to buy the snooty French "champagne" to get a great sparkling wine - my "ex" even brought a re-corker to restaurants who would stock her fav in case she didn't finish the bottle, which is why she's my "ex"!

I like Dom and its worth it but sure I would love to try and see whenever I can if Krug is also worth it at more than double!

Can a Korbel millenium (2000) REFRIGERATED SINCE nEW YEARS 2000be still palatable?

To Steve, who opens a bottle of bubbly every week to celebrate life's victories and honor those less fortunate, I couldn't agree more with your analysis. I would be happy to be your wine-geek buddy if you're drinking such celebrated champagnes as Pommeroy and Moet & Chandon. For me, a trip to Vegas is never complete without a trip to the Napoleon champagne bar at Paris, which stocks Dom Perignon and other fine sparkling wines and serves by the glass so one can experience the finest at a decent price!

I LOVE Champagne !!!! I agreee $$$$ don't always equal quality. For my money I enjoy Chandon and Gloria Ferrer. Both under $20 and a joy to drink. I have had the more expensive bubbles but they aren't that much better.

I'm sure Milton FRIEDMAN said, "I wish I would have DRUNK more champagne." But, I do like a Dom '96 when I can get it.

Veuve Clicquot, hands down best champagne. Better than Dom better than Cristal at about $30-$40 a bottle.

the advicefrom Milton Freedman is probably the best advice from either the article or the comments. I think it does not matter whether it is wonderful, just good,ok, or not so good champagne enjoy it for the people you are with and the times you are having.
