Customs agents say this is one of the longest and most sophisticated tunnels along the Mexico / US border.
It’s the finer amenities that surprised officials, who found it furnished with concrete floors, electricity,
lights, ventilations and even plumbing! The tunnel went down to 60 feet below ground, up to 5 feet high and almost .5
miles long. Other captivating "features” found were 200 pounds of marijuana on the California side and
thousands of pounds on the Mexico side. Cell phones, trucks, van, various documents and other drug cartel necessities
were found on site. Considering this is of the 21 found since September 11, 2001, I am sure there will be many more to
come.
